The 15 Best Pink Luggage Pieces

As someone who checks in at least one bag on every trip, I’ve started investing in colorful luggage to make it easier to spot my bags in the abyss we also refer to as a luggage carousel. In a sea of black and navy suitcases, it’s much easier to spot a brighter color like pink. In fact, my navy blue checked bag typically does twice the amount of joyrides on the conveyor belt compared to my magenta bag, which I can spot from several terminals away.

From blush and bubblegum to fuchsia and rose, I put together a list of my favorite pink suitcases below. I chose several that I personally own, as well as a few optionsTravel + Leisure tested and loved that come in a pink hue. Not only is the color practical, but it’s so pretty that you’re also bound to get tons of compliments at the airport.

The Béis carry-on is the perfect size for a weeklong trip and the range of pockets on the inside makes packing effortless and organized. After testing it in our lab, one of our favorite features is the cushioned pad on the inside of the handle for extra comfort when you’re rolling the bag through an airport. It also comes with other thoughtful features like a strap to secure the bag to another suitcase for easier transportation if you have multiple bags, and it has a built-in scale that will turn red when the suitcase is over 50 pounds. We do wish the suitcase was a bit more durable, as it sustained some dents and scuffs during our lab testing but overall, the luggage rolls smoothly, is easy to pack, and comes in a pretty pale pink.

Our favorite checked suitcase comes in lots of different colors, including a shimmery rose gold color. The suitcase is large enough to fit more than enough clothes for a long trip, and we especially love the expandable zipper for adding even more space after buying one too many souvenirs. Considering the massive size of this bag, we were impressed with how lightweight and easy to maneuver it is. The glossy exterior scuffed a bit during testing, (which didn’t surprise us) but we didn’t come across major damage, so we don’t think you will either.

I’ve officially replaced my checked suitcases with trunks since I find them easier to travel with than a typical checked bag. The 30/70 split compartments make it easy to pack bulky items from jackets to tall boots since one side boasts an extra-deep compartment. Plus, the tall rectangular shape offers superior maneuverability compared to a wider bag that doesn’t turn as easily. The salmon pink color is a bit more orange than other light pink bags, so it stands out against darker colors or brighter pink bags on the baggage carousel.

Amazon Samsonite Freeform Hardside Expandable Luggage with Spinners

Based on our testing, Samsonite’s Freeform collection has proved to be durable, spacious, and easy to maneuver, which makes it worth every penny. This set comes with a 21-inch carry-on and a 28-inch checked bag, so you can use both or either suitcases depending on your packing needs. Both pieces of luggage are expandable and boast plenty of pockets for organizing your items as needed. While we didn’t notice any scuff marks or scratches during testing, it’s possible that the cotton candy shade could make marks more noticeable than a black or navy shell.

Beis The Weekender
PHOTO: Beis

This weekender is a game-changer for short getaways (or if you need to do a quick change and refresh after a flight), thanks to a removable bottom compartment that can fit anything from several pairs of shoes to hot tools and a toiletry case. Inside the roomy main compartment, you’ll find a padded laptop section, key leash, and multiple pockets, and we love that the back of this bag features a trolley sleeve that slips right onto a roller handle. The laptop sleeve comes with a removable vegan leather laptop case which is the cherry on top of the functional bag that is jam-packed with thoughtful features for travelers. Of course, we couldn’t resist the fact that it also comes in the cutest shade of light pink. At just over $100, we also think it’s a steal for such a useful and durable bag.

This bubble gum pink backpack from Fjallraven comes with me on every trip since it’s large enough to fit all of the in-flight essentials I need, but it also lays flat and can be packed in a suitcase, too. Although the pack isn’t padded, I feel comfortable placing my laptop (in a case) in the back slip pocket and I’ve never felt any discomfort from the straps or weight of the bag. I also get so many compliments in the airport or out sightseeing thanks to the pink hue and stylish design of the fabric pack. I think you can never go wrong with a classic Kanken pack for traveling.

SteamLine The Correspondent Carry-on

Summer 2023 was the peak of “Barbiecore,” so when actress Margot Robbie used this vintage-inspired carry-on suitcase during a trip to Australia, I had to get the Barbie-approved bag for myself. The carry-on looks straight out of the early 1900s, but the bold pink shade gives it a modern edge that will get you plenty of compliments at the airport. The trunk opens up to reveal a blue-striped fabric interior with a built-in hanging system and several zippered pockets for organization. It only has two wheels on the bottom instead of four, but the smaller size of the carry-on makes it easy to maneuver through crowds — or you can use the handles to carry the bag like a very fashionable briefcase instead. I get so many compliments when I travel with this stunning vintage-inspired bag.

Aer Carry-on

I’ve tested dozens of suitcases during my time at T+L, and never come across a suitcase with lockable wheels until now. Needless to say, this bag impressed me from the start. I clicked the lock button near the handle to keep the wheels in place while waiting on a steep jet bridge, and the suitcase didn’t budge in the slightest. It’s also quite spacious with 48 liters of storage, and the construction feels sturdy and durable despite a few scratches after checking in the bag. It comes in various colors, but the mauve one boasts a purple-ish pink hue that is colorful without being too bold.

Monos Carry-On Pro

Why We Love It

  • Laptops, tablets, and other tech can be placed in the spacious and protective front zippered pocket.

Monos is one of my favorite luggage brands, especially the Carry-on Pro. It has a spacious front pocket to securely store a laptop, tablet, or other tech items that you want to access easily while traveling. I love going through the TSA security line with this bag since all I have to do is unzip the front pocket to take out my laptop, which means I can avoid factically digging through my backpack for my technology. If neutral colors are your preference, then the rose quartz color is the best option since it’s more of a dusty rose color with a slightly metallic hue.

Away The Carry-On Aluminum Edition
PHOTO: Away

Place anything into this hearty bag by Away and know your items are safe inside — that’s already a huge win in our books. Add that to a beautiful sheen of this rose gold, and you’ve got a winner. The shimmery bag features 360-degree spinner wheels and it comes with a laundry bag so you can easily separate your clean and dirty clothes while traveling. The interior compression on both sides of the clamshell suitcase makes it easy to fit even more inside, and dual TSA combination locks make it even harder for anyone to get inside. If you plan on packing this bag full, just keep your eye on the scale and be careful lifting it into the overhead bin, as it weighs 10.1 pounds which is on the heavier side for a carry-on.

The Details: 21.5 x 13.5 x 9 inches | 10.1 pounds | Aluminum

Overhead bin space can be hard to come by depending on your boarding zone, so we recommend getting an underseater suitcase to save you the stress and hassle. This one from Calpak fits under the seat in front of you (we tested it ourselves to confirm) even when it’s fully packed. The compact bag has smooth wheels and a sturdy handle, meaning you can zoom in and out of crowds in an airport without any trouble. The suitcase comes in several shades of pink like mauve and pink sand, or there is a limited edition hot pink color called “dragonfruit,” but it may not be around for long.

Amazon Travelpro Maxlite 5 Carry-On Expandable Spinner

If you’ve been on the fence about softside luggage, this rose pink suitcase might sway your opinion. Besides the eye-catching color, this bag is extremely durable thanks to the polyester and polycarbonate makeup that can typically withstand high impact better than hardside suitcases. Plus, the fabric exterior hides potential scuff marks better than polycarbonate material. The bag has one main compartment with various external and internal compartments, which means you might want to use a packing cube or two for additional organization. You can also use the handy expandable zipper to add a bit more space when needed.

July Carry On Light
PHOTO: July

Since airlines have been cracking down on suitcase sizes, it doesn’t hurt to have an ultralightweight and compact option like this one from July. It weighs just under four pounds, which is several pounds lighter than most carry-ons that typically weigh around six or seven pounds. This means that there’s more wiggle room to pack heavier items without fear of getting flagged for a heavy carry-on. On the off chance that the bag needs to be checked in, the dark pink-orange shade and unique oval shape will be easy to spot in a line-up of suitcases.

Amazon Bagsmart Zoraesque Duffel

This all-in-one duffel can be used for a variety of trips and activities thanks to its thoughtful features. The medium-size bag has three separate compartments with slip pockets on the dividers which makes it seamless and intuitive to pack with a laptop, clothing, shoes, and more. At the ends of the main zipper, there are snap-closure buttons to expand the overall capacity, and the exterior has a water bottle pocket and trolley sleeve to place it on a suitcase. Plus, it also comes with a removable shoulder strap and a yoga mat buckle so the duffel can be used for the gym, too. The pale pink shade might get dirty when you place it underneath an airplane seat, but it also comes in this dark pink shade instead.

Mark & Graham Terminal 1 Small Carry-on
PHOTO: Mark & Graham

Sure, luggage tags are the best way to keep your info attached to a suitcase, but this Mark & Graham carry-on can be customized with a name or initial monogrammed onto the front for an extra special touch. This light pink suitcase with leather accents is already easier to spot on a luggage carousel, but the personalization will give you confirmation every time. The interior is lined with stunning pink striped fabric and it has two zippered pockets on each divider for storing undergarments or smaller accessories. While the clamshell-style suitcase is smaller than a traditional carry-on by a few inches, it’s still a great option for long-weekend getaways or trips where you can get away with light packing.

Tips for Buying Pink Luggage

Strike a balance between style and features

When it comes to finding the perfect piece(s) of luggage, it can’t be all form and no function. Rather than picking the first cute bag you come across, seek out reputable brands and do your research. It helps to read through real customer reviews and check out our lab tests, especially where there are actual photos and specific use cases shared for each item. Luckily, many of today’s top luggage brands have made it their mission to balance style and features, choosing attractive colorways and adding practical features like TSA-approved locks, internal dividers for easy packing, expandability, and more.

Buy the size you need

Buying the biggest suitcase doesn’t necessarily make all of your packing troubles disappear, and it’s important to consider your most frequent travel needs before making a purchase. What is the typical duration of your trips, and what do you find yourself packing time and time again? If long weekends tend to be your thing, a good duffel and trusty carry-on should be at the top of your list. If you find yourself away for weeks at a time (and constantly on the move), you might want to invest in a hearty trunk and a comfortable backpack.

Remember that durability still matters

Frequent travelers know that, despite the most meticulous planning, things can happen on a trip that is completely out of your control. One safeguard for potentially long voyages, or frequent trips, is to pick a durable suitcase that keeps your clothing and valuables protected every step of the way — a criterion our editors swear by when choosing their favorite luggage pieces. For extra reliability, choose a suitcase with a hard shell crafted from either polycarbonate or aluminum. While aluminum suitcases do tend to be heavier than polycarbonate, they can take hit after hit while your items inside stay intact.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Is it better to have bright colored luggage?

Luggage is ultimately a personal choice but, the more unique the color or pattern is, the easier it can be to spot your bag when it’s on the carousel. No matter what hue you choose, always add a tag with your name and contact information in case the suitcase goes missing. It may also be beneficial to use luggage trackers in your checked bags to keep an eye on them while traveling.

  • How do I keep a pink suitcase clean?

It’s difficult to keep suitcases clean, especially light-colored suitcases like pale pink. To keep your bag in tip-top shape, it never hurts to use a luggage cover to ensure a clean surface after a flight. Otherwise, your suitcase may come with a sponge that can help buff out scuffs or marks (you can always buy a foam sponge yourself, too).
